General Features of ATC Refractometer
- Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) helps ensure accurate readings.
- Easy calibration via the calibration screw with calibration fluid. Focus adjustment can be done through the eyepiece.
- Make sure the prism receives enough light for clear reading of measurement results.
- Durable metal construction with an ideal optical quality.
- Simple to use with direct scale for quick readings.
- Comes with a calibration screwdriver, calibration fluid, sample pipette, hard carrying case, cleaning cloth, and user manual.
- 1-year warranty.
How to Measure with the ATC Refractometer
Hold the refractometer by the body with the slanted prism (where the sample is dropped) facing the light. While the cover is closed, look through the eyepiece and try to read the measurement scale. If the values are not clear, adjust the focus by rotating the adjustment ring just above the eyepiece until the measurement table appears sharp.
Refractometer Calibration (Zero Adjustment)
First, open the prism cover and place 1–2 drops of distilled water on the slanted prism surface, then gently close the cover. This will create a thin water layer between the prism surface and the cover. If the dark-light boundary line seen near the 0 (zero) mark on the measurement scale does not align exactly with the zero line, use a screwdriver to turn the calibration screw until the boundary line aligns perfectly with the zero line.
